I am itching for an easy and affordable project so I decided on chaeto in my IM lagoon.
After doing much research, it seems that chaeto is effective even when used in small fuges under pretty much any light. So I'm going to test it out and see if it's true.
Right now I have chaeto in a basket in the tank until I get a light.
I'm planning on doing the chaeto in my media basket in the overflow chamber.
I was considering adding more to the second chamber but not sure if the flow of the water will push it out - any thoughts/experience on that?
I have found 3 lights in a good price range.
The flood light I would Velcro directly to the glass.
The clip on lights, I would actually clip on my stand and direct the light to the back area where the chaeto is rather than from the top.
Which option would you go with?
