    Built in frag racks

Greetings, first post here. I have a red sea max 130d with Steve's led upgrade. I have drilled it and I want to keep most of my rock in the sump and go for a really clean look in the display to be used primarily for coral growth. I Am planning on using acrylic to make my own frag racks. I wonder if it is possible to use silicon to put some frag racks into the tank before it has water in it. I'm thinking two triangle shapes in the back corners. I have a scrap piece left over from another project that is currently too big to get it parralel to the ground, but i am thinking it maybe will tilt forward a bit. Maybe a solid 2 inch piece along the back. Can anyone here give me good reason why I shouldn't do this. Tips encouraged.
