    21 Gallon Red Sea Maxx

Hello well I am excited to say that I have upgraded my 8 gallon to a 21 gallon. Gives me a little more room. I wish I would have gone a little bigger. But it is a beautiful tank and I am very pleased with it. It has been running for about 2 months and about a month ago I moved everything over from my 8. I would have waited longer but I had two issues one my stand could not hold both tanks for much longer, and my torch was starting piss off some of the other corals. As the tank was just to over grown. About two weeks into the move I noticed that I was getting brown diatoms like crazy which looked absolutely horrible. I would to share with you that over the past three days I have been dosing 6 Ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide and that has really killed off the diatoms. Which brings me to my next question why did I get them in the first place? I didn’t really get them like this when I first started my 8 gallon. My numbers look great. PH=8.2 Ammonia=0 Nitrite=0 Nirate=5 or less Magnesium=1350 Calcium =460 Alkalinity=8.6 Phosphates=0 if you have any any advice or tips please let me know. Day one of hydrogen peroxide dosing Day two of Hydrogen peroxide

    12 Gallon Nano

Hello everyone it has been a couple weeks since I have checked in. I have made a lot of changes to my tank since I have last posted. Today I am very excited I took my Colt coral back to the LFS it was becoming to big for my tank. I am super excited because I replaced it with a bubble coral I have always wanted one. But the guys at another LFS I stopped going to kept talking me out of it as they said it is impossible to care for. So I look forward to the challenge. I also added a torch and trumpet. Which I will post pictures tomorrow, I just added them tonight so not much to take pictures of. Lol. I added a watch men goby to help shift the sand around. Update on my clowns they are doing really well. My hammer frogspawn and green star polyps are growing really nicely. Which is pretty excited to watch. My Xenia already grew another stalk which I can't believe happened this fast. The Duncan seems to be doing well. One of my favorite corals to feed. I just have to watch because the cleaner shrimp loves to steal his food. The red flower pot despite what the LFS told me is doing extremely well. I would like to thank this form for all they good advice you men/women have given me. I look forward to posting some pictures tomorrow to share with you.

    My 12 gallon nano

So it has been a couple of weeks since I have started the tank. I am pretty pleased with how things are going. The newest addition to the tank is my new light the AI Prime HD which I am very happy with. Last night after all my levels held for the past week with PH at 8.2 ammonia at 0 nitrate at 0 nitrite at 0 the guy at the LFS said I could start to slowly add my corals. So last night I purchased a small frag of green star polyps which look really good. I plan on waiting 2 to 3 weeks before adding anything else in the tank. Which I really hope I am able to add some frogspawn. Finally my hermit crabs started to leave my snails alone. At first I wasn't sure the snails were going to make it though the first night. But it appears they were just trying to eat the algae on the snails shell. I just wanted to share a picture of my tank and star polyps with you guys. I am very excited!!! Lol
