  1. Could someone please identify these corals for me and let me know if they are toxic/aggressive toward other corals? I am thinking if I can place them on the rocks closer to other corals or I should keep them in the middle somewhere far from others. Thank you.
  2. Need help id'ing these critters! Need to know what they are and if they're good or bad.
  3. So, I may have finally found alveopora, but I've read that goniopora are notoriously rough on other tank inhabitants and even caused skin reactions for ORA handlers. I plan to actually call ORA and try to get more information but I was hoping that someone on the forums might have hands-on experience. Question is, Alveopora are no longer considered to be taxonomically closely-related to goniopora and are instead more closely related to acropora whereas goni's are moreso to porites. Would anyone happen to know if this means they release fewer toxins, if any at all, into the water column? I would be exceedingly remiss to add anything into my tank which might slow the growth of my other corals (yes I have an echinophyllia chalice but it's exceedingly tame). I have a condition which prevents my body from being able to properly ramp-down and deal with recurrent exposure to inflammation without external corticosteroid intervention as well, so I'm kind of mulling over that bit as well. Would love to know if anyone has more information about the animals.

Hammer coral not feeling so well?

So, the last couple of days, my Euphyllia is acting up a bit. I am not sure if it is not feeling well, or if it could be splitting or perhaps something else I am not aware of. What do you guys and girls think/suggest? This morning The afternoon As for parameters, only thing that is slightly elevated is my phosphate, since I am trying to balance out my chemistry some more. Other then that, my latest paramaters, before the water change last monday. Ammonia: 0ppm Nitrite: 0ppm Nitrate: ~10ppm Phosphate: .35 PH: 8.1-8.2 dKH: ~10.5 Calcium: 460 Salinity: 1.025 Temp: 77 Could it be preserving energy? Is it dying? I don't see any little critters, nor brownish goo, or zooxanthellae being expelled or whatsoever. It's been doing this for about 3 to 4 days now. Did a 25% waterchange on monday, to see if that would help out, so far it seems not to. Other corals and livestock seem to be ok and active and I haven't changed anything particular lately. Curious what you guys think could be going on 🤔.
