So... This wasn't exactly planned, but now I have saltwater again! After about 3 years of being out of the hobby, I'm back. When a friend offered me his Evo 13.5 for 100 bucks fully set up I couldn't say no! It arrived tonight, with a minor gha infestation and looking kinda bad. The stock pump apparently kicked it unless I'm doing something wrong, and I also might have dropped the SG to 1.022 after it was at 1.029. Oops. So tomorrow it looks like I'll be running to the LFS to pick up a new pump and saltwater. Tank currently has an emerald crab, a hermit of some sort, a damsel of some sort and a rainsford goby which was looking bad when it got to my house. Also, a partially dead gorg and some snails. I put a maxijet 1200 on it for now (good grief, it's horribly noisy!).

Sorry for the newbie question, got a fancy mushroom colony on a rock from a friend of mine , discovered that there is one head on the bottom of the rock which is different a still very unique, would like to take it off the rock but i am too afraid to break the rock around it cz i can't do it without crushing the mother colony, is it possible to use a razor and peel it off? will this kill it? thanks

Hello everyone I have a bitter sweet problem, I was given three green mushrooms about a year ago from my lps. Initially I thought of propagation due to wanting more. However I watched videos on YouTube stating to wait and when the time is right they will multiply on there own. Well they did and now they won’t stop, in a month I went from three to 15, now there’s about 30-40. They are even getting to the point where they are falling off the rock and floating to locations I didn’t intend them to be. Has anyone experienced this problem?, if so what did you do?

Hey, So now that I have saturated myself with many hours of countless reading, I am ready build and manage a tank. I decided to go with this route because of equipment I already had. 10 gallon all in one setup. A very good starter read is here by steelhealr http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?...;hl=submersible the inspiration for this build and help came from lil'wrasse cool http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?...126726&st=0 I went into greater detail than most of you will need but these are questions I had when I was starting so... bear with it. Now for the pics, This is for a standard 10 gallon fish tank. The silocone will fill in the gaps so hair pin precision is not needed here. the bulkhead how it looks That is where I am for now. I will post more with fuge and siliconed. bzphotog
