Ok, thought I’d start a thread to share the whole process, failures and all! So far so good though. Everything reading as it should. Few changes to the setup. Swapped out the sponges for a 3D printed second chamber media basket, sicce 0.5 pump in 3rd chamber, random flow nozzle on the outlet. Also added a ‘TMC flexi Blue LED’ under the hood to supplement the stock lighting. rock arrived today so had a couple of hours getting it how I want. Held in place with ‘seachem Glue’ (hoping that’ll be enough hold). Just let it do it thing for a few weeks now 👍🏻🐟

I'm new to the hobby but have been following for a while, and am in the process of setting up a 1.4 gallon pico tank. As far as equipment goes, there's a sort of built in Sump in the back with a sponge and extra compartment - I just put some extra live rubble in there from what didn't fit in the display. There's also a 25w heater and mini wavemaker on its way, along with a bulb (specs below). My plan is to get Dr. Tim's live culture and then wait a week or two before adding GSP - after that I'm not sure (probably frogspawn and CUC as needed). Is there anything I'm missing? (I'm planning on eighty percent water changes a week just because of the small size)

Hello guys, I have a 12g coral only system (+ 1 small shrimp). The corals are pretty small atm, zoas mainly. For the last month and a half I have been feeding them reef roids, with great results. I have been feeding them daily, with the recommended dose (eyeball measurements). Filtration-wise, I run filter pads, purigen, skimmer and a refugium. Trochus snails help too. Everything looks amazing. Corals look healthy, colorful and spreading. Algae is nowhere to be seen. Thing is...most people seem to feed much less often than I do. Wouldn't want to be running into any problems in the future by being overfeeding now. So, what would be a sign I might be over doing it? Besides zoas having wet dreams...
