    10 Gallon Fish Stocking?

Looking to stock my ten. Right now its just macro algaes and gorgonians but id like one or two fish to fill it up. Not a fan of gobies or blennies but id like something a bit more oddball for the tank. I know a ten is pretty limiting but if anyone has stocking ideas let me know.

    Dannys IM Nuvo 10 Reef

Hello Everybody! Its been about a year and a half since I had my 1 Gallon Cubus reef which I ended up tearing down before I moved back home. Now that I've been settled back in Wisconsin for a while, I felt it was time to get back into Saltwater. So, today I went and picked up an IM Nuvo 10 Pro from my LFS for 199.99. I will be picking up live rock tomorrow morning, I just wanted to get it running tonight with the sand. Equipment: Tank: IM Nuvo 10 Light: PAR30 (I believe. This light is off of my Cubus, I have a PAR38 on the way.) Heater: ViaAqua 50W Sand: Nature's Ocean Live Aragonite Sand Shoutout to @Tamberav and @Seadragon for suggesting this tank to me! Here's how it looks right now. My Iphone 11Pro is making it a lot bluer than it actually is. I will be posting more photos tomorrow once I get live rock.

    Bay Area Nuvo 10

Hi all, and hi to the Nuvo 10 community! For the past year or so, I've been wanting a reef of my own, and I'm now addicted. I decided on the Innovative Marine Nuvo 10 for the compact size and transportability, given that I plan to take it to college eventually. As of the moment I am writing this, I currently have put the rock and sand into the tank, after cycling the rock for about 3 weeks in a 5-gallon bucket using Fritz Turbo Start. The sand is Fiji Pink, and the rocks are Walt Smith 2.1. I have the tank on the 10 gallon white JBJ Nano Cubey Stand, which looks really great with the tank. Equipment List IM Nuvo 10 Tank 10 Gallon White JBJ Nano Cubey Stand AI Hydra 26 HD (Modified AB+ Settings) Cobalt Neo-Therm 50 watt heater (best heater on the market) Sicce Syncra .5 Return Pump Vortech mp10wqd inTank Media Basket (Running inTank filter floss, 2 chemi pure blue nano packets, and 1 marinepure cube) Tunze Nano ATO (Not running a skimmer, I'm running 4 MarinePure cubes in the second chamber) Aquatic Life 100gpd RODI unit Tropic Marin Pro Reef salt (mixes extremely fast) Tank as of August 16, 2019. No light or ATO yet. Tank as of October 2, 2019. Hydra 26 with diffuser has been added. Snails, hermits, and goby have been introduced. No corals quite yet.
  4. SLOOYE'S 10 GALLON NUVO FUSION BUILD OVERVIEW: Decided to start up a small nano again after being away from the hobby for a bit. I was 16 at the time I set up my first tank (20 now), so iv'e been able to learn a substantial amount of information since then. Along with being able to learn from my mistakes. My budget has also increased so that will definitely help with setting up more of a sleek looking setup. The plan is to track my progress weekly (or whenever something worth talking about comes about.) The tank is currently in its cycling phase and is set up in my bedroom on my dresser. THE PLAN: The plan for this tank is to keep everything pretty simple. Since I only have 10 gallons to work with I want to work with keeping the bio load quite low. With that being said I want to keep only 2-3 fish stocked at max. Fish wise, I'd like to go with a designer clownfish. Thinking a snowflake most likely. (There is a facility that breeds designers about an hour from my house.) Also maybe a blenny eventually. I figured since there won't be many fish in the tank, I want the ones that are to really stand out. For corals, I'm thinking LPS at the moment. Want to keep this tank as bright colored as possible. EQUIPMENT: -Nuvo fusion 10 -Kessil A80 tuna blue -Kessil gooseneck -Sicce 0.5 (upgraded the stock return pump) -Nuvo spin stream nozzle -Tunze nano ATO -50w eheim jager -Chinese digital thermometer off amazon OTHER SPECS/INFO: -8 pounds of dry rock (From Bulk Reef Supply) -Bio active live sand -Using Dr. Tims ammonia and Instant Ocean Bio Spira to fishless cycle the tank. -Chemipure blue nano (added filtration) -Instant ocean reef crystals for mixing -Hydrometer (Need to order a refractometer) -API Saltwater Test Kit PROGRESS: Before Adding Water: 10-18-18 Water added: 10-21-18 Current: 10-27-18

    New fusion 10 build updates!

Hi everyone! I am going to be starting an official journal for our new fusion 10 build Quick background on us, we had a 75 gallon for about 4 years, bought a house and when the tank moved we lost almost everything over about 6 months and realized with the new house we didn’t have the time. Now that we’ve settled we have decided to try a nano tank and hope to re set up our 75 in the future. We started the tank cycling the end the end of December 2017. Cycle is complete and water parameters are good. Had a short stage of cyanoalgae but rearranged the rocks and added a powerhead for more flow and have not had any issues since. What we have as of now: im fusion 10 tank upgraded media basket caddy with filter floss and chemipure nano ghostmate desktop skimmer hydor nano powerhead 4 pounds of live rock with 1 large dry rock that has since been seeded 7lbs of Carib sea bahama oolite sand AI prime hydra light with flex arm mount LIVESTOCK 1 firefish 4 nasarius snails 2 turbo snails looking to add a black clown goby and a citron goby and some more cleanup crew We had a massive bloom of copepods which have since dwindled to a smaller amount. One morning I came out and the entire tank was full of them ? Will be slowly adding corals to the tank as well. We currently have one little favia frag that was pretty cheap and basically our test piece to see how it does. Thinking of doing mostly lps corals, but not really sure exactly at this point. We are looking into auto top off systems please give your recommendations! Also what other parameters should we be testing testing regularly besides ph, sg, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite? Thank you!!
  6. Hey everyone! So our nano IM fusion 10 that has been up and running for about 2 months now is going through a huge algae bloom. Water parameters are good as far as ph, salinity, nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia. We have added a few snails but didn’t want to go crazy if for some reason the water isn’t right. Is there something else I should be testing the water for now? A lot of people say this is a normal part of the process but I am wondering should we be turning the light down or off and adding more cleanup crew? What are so recommendations for the sand bed and keeping it clear? It is okay to now add filter media to the tank, just planning on filter floss and chemipure blue in the upgraded media caddy basket. Also what are thoughts on the ghost protein slimmer? We have it in the tank but it’s not on right now...

IM fusion 10 new set up

Okay so this is our new IM fusion 10 set up that’s been running for about 5 weeks now. What do you all think? We’ve been in the hobby for awhile however this is our first nano tank. We would like some tips and pointers on powerheads, and filter media. We haven’t put all of the gadgets to use yet as the tank is cycling. currently, fusion 10 tank AI hydra prime light with flex arm upgraded media caddy ghost desktop skimmer spin stream nozzle upgrade 7lbs of live bahama oolite sand 5lbs of live rock and a 3 lb dry rock current readings for cycle ph 8.15 ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 10mg/dl im noticing this sand likes to blow around easily, wondering if we should take some out or add some coarser sand to the sand bed ????
  8. After being out of the reefing hobby for a bit, got the bug again and decided to go nano! Wanted a smallish AIO and the IM Nuvo Fusion 10 fit the bill. Below is a link to a short video of me setting it up (including a serious brain-fart!) and a couple of pics. I'll post updates periodically.

Best light for Nuvo 10 Gallon

Hi there! Im looking for best lighting options for a 10 gallon nuvo fusion aquarium. Planning on having some corals in it, a leather, a few zoos, and potentially an anemone. We previously had a 100 gallon reef tank that was great and when we moved and bough our first house pretty much everything was decimated after the move. We ended up tearing the whole tank down because we were so upset about losing everything. My husband is who introduced me to saltwater aquariums and I bought him a full setup for a nano tank as he has shown a lot of interest in them. We have a hydra light that was used for our 100 gallon which I know is likely far too much for this tank. Please leave any suggestions for a good light for a first time nano tank! Thank you

    The NXN Fusion 10

To kick things off, this thread will be about updates and the progression of my nuvo 10 thats goal is to be a sps dominant aquarium. Iv been lurking around for a while. I started keeping saltwater tanks on and off for the last 14 years but have really started taking it serious for the last 4 years. I started with a 10g glass aquarium with a HOB filter, it was a FOWLR. Then I got a 30 with some softies. Then I got my first AIO the IM Abyss. The Abyss started leaking so IM warrantied it but the tank was no longer available. So they gave me the lagoon 25 and the nuvo 10 in its place. I like both tanks and decided I want the 25 to be softies and LPS and the 10 to be LPS and SPS. Any suggestions from ppl who have thriving SPS corals in a Nano would be very appreciated and pointed out any mistakes I may be making would be noted. I set up the 10 in September of 2017, and here is where I’m at so far...
