Petco 3.7G Cubic Pico Reef Build!

Yeah I am thinking when my betta passes to either make it saltwater or maybe just a freshwater shrimp tank. My betta enjoys the tank though. He was in my community until he became a punk. I just feel like the standard pump on this tank is awful. I see no water flowing into the intake. I just threw in a sponge filter in the output box.

I think I am going to do it when the seller responds to me. Its $240. I just need to start learning about corals!

Well my royal gramma does come out, especially when I cut the pumps off to feed of course. She is doing great. I just wish I had a name for her. hmm. Anywho I get these reef flakes from Ocean Nutrition because I thought they would work well, but my fish does not come to the surface, so I sink the flakes and she seems to eat them then. I bought these small fish formula sinking pellets by New Life Spectrum and they do not sink at all either. She also seems not to like them to much. Any ideas on what else to feed her? I also added 3 nassarius, 2 cerith, 1 astrea snail and 2 blue hermits to my tank. Everyone is okay except for the astrea snail who has not moved since I got him.

Wow really nice! I have the same tank. However, I just made mine a betta tank. My only quarrel with the tank is the original pump sucks and I see no water movement through the chambers.

Yeah I’m pretty sure it’s a clown goby. It said on the tank green neon goby. I’m going back there tomorrow for like 2 cerith, 2 nassarius, 2 astrea, and maybe a blue hermit. I want the clown goby too. But I guess I’ll find out if my gramma makes it through the night.

Well today when I got to my LFS I was undecided on to either get fish or a CUC. I asked for an opinion of a worker. He was asking me all these questions and after I told him I did a 50% water change because my cycle was over. He preceded to tell me that I was wrong in doing this because I could have started a mini cycle because of this water change. He said I should have done a 25% water change. I then told him i cycled with ammonia and he again said I was wrong for doing that. He said I should have cycled with a fish and that is what they recommend. He then said that I do not need a CUC right now because there is nothing for them to eat. I was so angry after this conversation. He acted like I have no idea what I was doing. I wanted to leave. Any who I wanted either a royal gramma or this green neon goby they had. I went with the gramma. I might go back for the goby. So I have since acclimated and added the gramma. He or she is currently hiding in a rock. I am hoping he survives this ordeal. He seemed pretty rattled I guess. I do not what else to do. I might just order my cleanup crew online. It is hard to determine what they have at this LFS i just see alot of shells. Oh well pray for me.

I want a really cool patterned clownfish pair. Then I have no idea. I like the royal gramma or just a type of goby I guess. Any suggestions? On CUC I learned about the tuxedo urchin and I think it would be really cool to have one. How do you know how many snails you need? I am assuming it is just experience.
  12. Yeah I would only be interested in the one that works

Simply beautiful. I do not know if you are still around but how is that light? I have a 20g high cycling right now and I am debating on getting the same light you have. Its either that or the AI Prime HD. I am new to the hobby and do not know much about coral. I would love to have hard corals however.
