  7. Justin Zimmerman will be speaking Sunday at 2:30 P.M. He is an Aquarium Supervisor at SeaWorld of Florida where he has worked for over 19 years with a current area of specialty in living coral reef aquariums and their care Justin is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Biology and Marine Science. Justin has worked with coral spawning projects in the Caribbean, including project SECORE and more recently partnered with the Florida Aquarium to collect endangered coral larvae from the Florida Keys with the hope returning the lab grown corals back into the wild. Justin will be talking about the design, building, water quality and maintenance of the current living reef aquariums at SeaWorld, Orlando as well as the most important aspects of setting up a successful reef aquarium at home.
  8. Colin Foord will be speaking Saturday at 2:30 P. M. Colin is a marine biologist, coral aquaculturist, artist, photographer, and filmmaker educated at the University of Miami. He is co-founder of the marine biological art duo Coral Morphologic wherein he manages the world’s only multi-media coral aquaculture studio in the heart of Miami. It is Coral Morphologic’s mission to hybridize art and science in such a manner that people of all ages will be inspired to consider the mysteries of life on Earth while under the influence of the corals’ fluorescent cosmic spell. Julian Sprung will be speaking Sunday at 12:30 P.M. Julian is a graduate of the University of Florida, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology, and is President of the aquarium industry company @two_little_fishies. that he co-founded in 1991. Julian became known to the aquarium hobby through his monthly column Reef Notes in FAMA magazine, and many years of traveling the lecture circuit at aquarium club meetings and exhibitions around the world. His books include The Reef Aquarium, volumes One, Two and Three, which he co-authored with J. Charles Delbeek, Corals: A Quick Reference Guide, Invertebrates: A Quick Reference Guide, and Algae: A Problem Solver Guide.

  14. Reef-A-Palooza is pleased to announce a new frag tank-rental program for our 2019 shows. Table-top coral frag tank and the necessary equipment to run the tank will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Basic Frag Tank Rental We will provide the following at a cost of $450.00 rental price. 1. Set up and break down of the tank and equipment in your designated booth space. 2. One 4’ x 2’ table-top tank with table support. 3. Tank filled with pre-mixed saltwater. 4. One black egg crate. 5. One return pump. 6. One additional 5-gallon bucket of pre-mixed saltwater and one 5-gallon bucket of RO water. The Works Frag Tank Rental For an additional $125.00 Reef-A-Palooza will provide the following for a total rental price of $575.00 per show: 1. Items 1-5 listed above and 2. One power head. 3. One heater. 4. One carbon reactor and carbon. The exhibitor will be responsible for providing their own lighting, power strips, and extension cords for either rental package.
