  1. Nice setup @pandy. do you run zeovit on this system too ?
  2. 10 years later im gonna reply for this one 🙂 . this tank inspired me a lot. that push me to find more about the owner . i have tried more than 4 years to get a answer from him. this was his reply . Translation Hello Chatura, thank you very much for the message. My aquarium was dismantling in 2011, and today I have no aquarium anymore. I'll give you the information I remember, the last configuration of the aquarium that showed the best performance (some data may be incorrect, but it's quite close): System: 25L main + several intermediate tanks (refuges 5L + 10L, Sump 15L) No substrate, only living rocks. Lighting: 6 Metal Halides Spot Light, 24W, 10,000K, and some Blue LEDs to adorn. Timer to turn on and off every day automatically, lasting 12H connected, I think. Circulation: Two River 180 with timers, each on and off every minute. Return of the sump: Rio 1200 I think, Chiller and heater: Temperature between 25 and 27 degrees. Replacement of evaporated water: Kalkwasser. Simple automatic repository with DIY level sensor + PET bottle + bucket + Rio 50, etc. Parameters of water: Salinity in 35. The rest do not know or remember, practically did not test (Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Phosphate, PH, etc.) Chemicals: Not used. No filters, skimmers and so on. Water change: think 7L or 8L per week. I think he used Sal Tetra Marine Pro. Conclusion, in the case of my aquarium, after stabilizing, it was only necessary to change part of the water every week and the rest was left in the automatic. Once a month he had the job of pruning some branches of acropora that grew, because the aquarium was very small. Hope this helps! Im professional designer and i know whats possible with photoshop with whats not.this is 100% real reef tank. i feel so sad this tank ddnt won nanoreef.com featured tank. i personally believe this tank deserve featured tank after 10 years later . i think this is world best nano reef tank ever. hats off for the creator of this master pice . 4. My previous nano tank i have used fans to drop temperature, ill try fans this time too. i have notice no growth of the xenia and zoas maybe not because of the temprature i have 0.5 po4 😞
  5. Thanks for the great advice , i have one AC pump (3000LPH ) for return and one jebao cp25 crossflow , those are the only heat source for my reef tank , lights i have kessil a150 mounted 1ft height ,
  6. Im from srilanka , My tank temp fluctuate around 84- 86, i have mostly zoas and favia those are collected from the shallow reefs around the country , is 86 too much ? my tank is 24*24*12 shallow cube . chillers are very expensive to buy and run, i tried fans bit it just drop temp around 1-2 max with lots of evaporation. do you tink adding chiller will make huge impact to the tank ? or 86 is fine

  9. Here is the update. i won ebay bid mp10 qd pump for USD 192, the wetside replaced around month ago and pump itself two years old. what you think ? i can still go for KPS but i think KPS is less powerful than mp10 right ?
  10. Thanks bro, i have read this ] 🙂 .both nero5 ecotech are out of my budget, since my sw4 working bit slower i can use use this one as secondary pump and can use tunze
  11. Hi guys, this is my 23g shallow cube 24*22*12 , i used jebao sw4 wavemaker and this thing got slowdown nearly two month use. i gave up my tank like two weeks due to low flow my tank filled with cyano and other algae , last week i have done some cleanup and now im looking for some wavemaker to keep my tank super clean, i have three options at the moment 1) Tunze 6020 2) jebao OW25 3) jebao cp25 (gyre) im really don't happy with jebao but ow25 produce 8000lh power while tunze just provide 2500lh. do you guys think tunze will enough for my tank ? mostly focus in to sps and lps corals.
