  1. Went to the LFS today to pick up the dry rock I ordered last week, but all of the pieces were way too big to fit in the tank. The owner gave me a huge deal of $2 per pound of live rock and I couldn’t pass it up. I’m really liking the scape at the moment but I’m definitely worried about it being to close to the water level. I’ll try to get some clearer pics once the sand settles down. Let me know what you think or any ideas on the scape.
  2. Everything came in today and I’m just testing out the light, what settings are you guys running over Nuvo 10s?
  3. @dferrari13 Your IM 10 is one of the main tanks that inspired me to get back into it. I’m pretty excited to see it in person and get it started.
  4. @Couesfanatic let me know if you start/started a build thread, I’d like to follow
  5. That’s really good to know, thanks man!
  6. @Christopher Marks I was more worried about a nutrient outbreak from the sand being mixed up during the move. I’ve never used dry rock in a tank before so I figured I’d just grab a rock from my parents tank back home and call it a day. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to do it with live sand though since there won’t be any fish/corals at the time.
  7. Thank you @Christopher Marks, it's been awhile! I was thinking about adding in a koralia, but wanted to see how much flow the tank needs once its up and running before I decide on which one. I'm thinking with the sicce 1.0 I could get away with the 240 but we'll see. Also the intank media basket is definitely in the plans for some point in the future.
  8. It’s gonna hurt to read lol I’d stay away
  9. I figured I'd start this journal a little early so I can get some feedback on what I'm planning to do ahead of time and after that use it to track my tank/get help. I used to be on this site all of the time when I was about 13 years old in 2011 and had possibly the most annoying account in the history of nano-reef.com “@Basketball Prodigy“ (honestly don't look it up it was an embarrassing time of my life). When I moved to college I basically got out of the hobby except for helping out with my old tank back home over holidays for my parents. But now my girlfriend and I are getting our own place in May after sharing my room in a party house for the past year, so I figured now is a good time to get back into it since everything is calming down. Here is what I ordered so far: IM Nuvo 10 gallon AI Prime HD (with mount) Sicce Silent 1.0 Return Eheim Jager 50 Watt heater Tank and equipment should be here next week. Is there anything else I'm missing equipment-wise right now? I'm planning on setting it up and curing dry rock with a few small pieces of live rock until May then moving it to the apartment, adding sand, and going from there. The plan right now is a pair of clowns and mostly zoanthids, acans, euphyllia, and a few SPS corals. Any help is welcomed and thanks for any help in advance.
  10. Thanks Nano, its definitely a start.
  11. Dang your tank looks nice. Those rics are crazy If you ever need to get rid of some them I'm always here man
  12. omgomgomg I was previously on this site by the name of Basketball Prodigy, but I decided to make a new account since I haven't used it in about a year. My 75 gallon tank has been going for a while now, but became neglected due to family deaths in the past couple of years. However, I'm ready to take a second shot at it and get it looking better than ever.
 Over the past month my family have been working on remodeling our home. During the process of remodeling my dad and I decided to move the fishtank from my room to the living room where everyone can see it. We've been working on the tank move and installation pretty hard. I hope you enjoy the tank and give your opinions on how to improve it.
 Once a week I will be posting a FTS and once a month I'll edit the FTS into this first post. I'll also be sprinkling in pictures of the livestock in the tank.
 1 small hippo tang ()
1 small yellow tang()
 *I understand that they will grow too big eventually, but at that time they will be moved to a larger tank
Colony of acan brain coral
A ton of mushrooms scattered throughout the tank (green striped, neon green, spotted-green)
