    got milk?
  1. Wow, I just got a notification of this thread after like 6 years! I definitely need to get one of these.
  2. $20 + shipping. Where are you located? Unless you know a local store that sells this bulb, you're going to pay $23 + $8-$10 shipping. I can do $25 shipped.
  3. I've got 2 of these in great shape, $10 each. Thanks!
  4. I am interested in the response you get from them. I have 2 workhorse5 ballasts & 1 Advance ballast. I'm only going to run 3 24W T5s on my 26 bowfront. Thinking of overdriving them also.
  5. I actually spoke with the guy from Fishneedit, his name is Simon. I bought 2 of the 24" T5 fixtures from him but decided to go retrofit since my tank is only 10" deep on the sides (26 bowfront). He was really nice, he actually refunded my payment & called me on my cell to let me know when he did it. He told me he went to China & is working with the vendor to make units with multiple switches, power cords & fans. The quality of the bulbs & reflector is probably lower & I guess you don't need waterproof endcaps since it has a splash lens but that's pretty cheap for T5 all-inclusive. Right now my tank looks awesome with the Coralife 130W PC fixture but I'm retrofitting T5s so I can keep some SPS.
  6. The problem w/T5's is you can't find them with individual power cords to do dusk/dawn unless you get 2-2 bulb retro kits or a 4 bulb fixture which will easily run you to $300 with bulbs & take up mondo space above your tank. Plus they don't include lunar lights. Trust me, this is what I wanted. Plus, the PCF bulbs can be had for $13 a pair on ebay.
  7. You can do dusk/dawn/moonilght as the Coralife Lunar fixture has 3 switches & 3 power cords. That's why I went with it. I have 35 corals in my 26 bowfront & the only reason I am upgrading is because I want some SPS. $75 shipped. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...rksid=p3907.m29
  8. I have the Coralife 2 x 65W PC fixture with lunar lights & fans, Has 3 seperate power cords & switches so you can put each bulb on timers. I'm actually selling it for $75 right now. It's this one: http://www.amazon.com/Coralife-inch-Lunar-...W/dp/B000BJK3RK
  9. I just ordered 2 of the 24" fixtures for my 26 bowfront. I figured for $77 shipped, how could I go wrong? I figured I'd change out the actinic bulbs with super actinics. My main reason for getting 2 is so that I can do the dusk/dawn setup with times, since each fixture only has 1 power cord & the 4 bulb unit has only 1 power cord. Right now I have a Coralife 2x65W pc lunar fixture on there.
  10. Yeah, it's a great tank. Especially for someone's first nano or nano upgrade!
