  1. I have a JBJ 30g rimless I need to stock. I am still in the initial planning stages. I am thinking a Cherub Angel, 1-2 Clowns, a shrimp/goby pair, possibly a clam. Anyone see any issues with this group and any suggestions of one more fish I could add to the group? I was initially thinking a 6-line wrasse, but have talked myself out of it from the numerous aggression reports. Thank you in advance for the feedback.
  2. I have a new JBJ 30g rimless and hate the glass lids but need a lid because I have fish that jump. I found a custom acrylic one online, but it is $150 and I'd rather not spend that much. Any ideas/suggestions?

  4. Here is my first attempt and am looking for feedback/ideas. Overall I like it but feel I am wasting some space in the corners and in the back. I'd rather not out the rock against the back wall but also want to increase swimming space. Ideas??
  5. Starting to make final plans for stocking of my tank and wanted some feedback/input. My initial idea is a pair of clown with something to host, a pair of clowns, a dwarf golden moray, some species of wrasse for activity, and a goby/shrimp combo. Any feedback or different ideas on this list?

  7. I have a new Kessil 160 I have some questions about; how long should I run it each day, what intensity, is color just a preference? It is on a JBJ 30g rimless. I don't currently have anything in the tank, it is cycling. I am just planning ahead for when I get everything started. Thanks for the info!!
  8. I am looking for a light for 30g rimless and am having trouble deciding what I need or how much to spend. I would like to stay around $200 or so and would like to keep softies and LPS/no SPS at this point. I have never purchased a light for a reef tank, all of my previous saltwater tanks came with a light. My initial thoughts are a Kessil 160, AI Prime HD, Ocean Revive 247, or a Razor. Will these be enough light for my needs or do I need to bite the bullet and go bigger/more expensive? Any feedback on any of these or suggestions for something else?
  9. My first idea is a Kessil A160WE Tuna Blue. Would this work with this tank? I like the clean look of the light as well.
  10. I finally made my purchase, a 30g rimless. Very excited to get it going. I am still in the process of picking out a light and am looking for suggestions. I want an LED with a programmable light where I can have a sunrise, sunset, and moonlights. I would ideally like to stay under $200 if possible. I am not planning on anything fancy with corals, mainly easy corals and fish. Any suggestions??
  11. I am considering getting a biocube 32 with the LED Lights. How do I know what corals I can keep in it? The lights seem to not be very powerful and I am assuming I would be limited in what I can get. I'm not looking for anything fancy but want to develop a reef tank.
  12. I am looking at either a 29 or 32 Biocube or 28 Nano Cube and am planning on running it as is for now. I am going to start with mainly fish and begin to dabble in corals. Any suggestions for a starting tank? What are the benefits for either tank?
