  1. Heater for 46 Gallon Bowfront Reef Tank

Both heaters arrived today! I will be installing the In-Line Heater this weekend!
  2. 46 Gallon Bow Front Reef Tank

I need help! I found some red slime algae on the back wall of my tank. I don't want it to grow anymore. What should I do? OPTION 1: Wait until the weekend and do a 10 gallon water change while siphoning it out and clean all the equipment (filter, skimmer and box, power heads, etc.) I also ordered some new stuff like lights bulbs (the ones I have now are 2+ years old), a new unit of Chemi-Pure Elite, Purigen, a heater, etc. I can install all of that stuff and do a massive clean up day. OR OPTION 2: I can use some of my Ultra Life Red Slime Remover that I have. I don't like using chemicals if they aren't necessary, bit I will if I need to. What do you guys thing the best plan of attack would be? I just don't want it to get out of hand. Thanks for your input!
  3. Heater for 46 Gallon Bowfront Reef Tank

Those heaters look pretty cool. I decided on trying the Hydor ETH In-line Heater ( http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod...mp;pcatid=11369 ) and I also got a Eheim Jager Thermostat Heater ( http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod...mp;pcatid=23726 ). I will most likely use the In-line heater on the tank and the other heater for mixing water, curing rock, etc. I will let you guys know how I like them!

    No one has any input?!?!
  6. Heater for 46 Gallon Bowfront Reef Tank

I think I will wait until Friday to order because I'm hoping DFS will have some good sales and perhaps I can get a few other things I need for cheap. I still need your input though! Does that in-line heater look like a good choice? If not, what do you recommend?
  7. I currently have a 46 Gallon Bow Front Reef Tank and I am in need of a heater badly. I am running a canister filter so a in-line heater would work. I want to have very minimal equipment in the tank if possible. I was hoping you guys could give me some input on a good heater to buy. I was hoping to put a order in with Drs. Foster and Smith tonight or tomorrow morning, so your input is greatly appreciated! I was looking at this inline heater: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod...mp;pcatid=11369. Thanks for the help!

    Ok. Thanks for the help!
  10. FS SPS and neon candy cane colonies

Ok. Well I'm not located in California so I guess it won't work out. Bummer because you have such a beautiful coral.

    Thanks for the input!
  12. Anemones: Care & Keeping

Do you think it is possible to keep a RBTA in a 46 gallon Bowfront Reef Tank that has PC (2 x 96 watt bulbs, one actinic, one 10 000k) lighting? My parameters are very good and constant. My info is in my tank thread. Thanks!

The tank is doing well. I will post a more in depth update and pictures soon!
  15. Goby/srimp pair? Or another bottom dweller?

I just got a Yasha Goby and wanted to pair him up with a Candy Pistol Shrimp. I had the same questions as him. How much should one run for?
