  2. Everything is Awesome

The Coral Compulsion website isn't working for me. I've tried it on different machines and browsers. Is something wrong? EDIT: Works now. Sorry for the confusion. User error.
  3. 4G Pico Pre-Setup List

    The tank has been ordered!
  4. 4G Pico Pre-Setup List

I'd like to see a variety of softies, some zoas/palys, and a couple rics and acans as well. I also would want a couple Sexy Shrimp and a small fish (Blue Neon Goby?), but I need to do more research to see if the tank can handle that kind of bioload.
  5. 4G Pico Pre-Setup List

Yes. I had to email them to get the tank info.
  6. 4G Pico Pre-Setup List

I'm about to start my first pico. I had a BC 14 for a few years, but had to tear it down when I moved across the country. Now I want to start a small pico. Here is my proposed equipment list. Any and all feedback is welcome. Thanks! SOLD! When will they be in stock?
  8. Pico with LED PAR30/PAR38

I'm trying to decide which PAR30/PAR38 light to get for the 5.2G pico I'm getting. I am ordering the 5.2g (10x10x12) Mr. Aqua Bowfront (www.marinedepot.com/ps_viewitem.aspx?idproduct=AZ1119&child=AZ1111) The light budget is a firm $100, so nanobox is out. Here are the Par LEDs I've been looking at: Coral Compulsion PAR30: http://coralcompulsion.com/led/PAR-BULBS/led-21w-18k BoostLED PAR30: http://www.boostled.com/product_p/par30.htm Rapid LED PAR38: http://www.rapidled.com/12-led-par38-bulb-mixed-color-with-uv/ ReefBreeders PAR 38: http://reefbreeders.com/product/par-38-led-bulb/ Coral Compulsion Full Spectrum PAR38:http://coralcompulsion.com/led/PAR-BULBS/led-36w-20k-Full OCReef PAR38 Full Spectrum: http://www.ocreef.com/par38_full_spectrum_led_aquarium_lamp_36_watts?category_id=5122 OCReef Cree PAR38: http://www.ocreef.com/ocreef_par38_cree_led_aquarium_lamp?category_id=5122 Please let me know if you have an opinion or experience with any of these, or any I may have missed. Any and all input id greatly appreciated! Thanks.
  9. 2.5 Gallon Alley Oop - Retired 1/10/2015

Looks good! Are you sing the Coral Compulsion 18K or 22K Par30?
  10. Tank Shots w/14W PAR30

Do you have any tank shots with this light? I was at Reefwise earlier today so I know the Par38 Full Spectrums look good. I just want to see what the PAR 30s look like. I'm planning on putting one over a new 5g. Thanks!
  11. Pico FTS Thread!

What light do you have on this? Looks great!
  12. Sick Clownfish.

    He isn't eating.
  13. Sick Clownfish.

My clown fish has popeye and weird white bumps on his face. Here are some pics. Does anyone know what this might be? Maybe Lymphocyctis virus? http://www.flickr.com/photos/63334399@N03/5760416125/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/63334399@N03/5760415843/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/63334399@N03/5760415511/
  14. Retrofitting a BC 14 with LEDs

I guess the next question is: Do I need to run two dimmable drivers, one dimmable driver, or just stick with a single constant current driver? Having one dimmable driver only increases the cost by $16.00, but having 2 increases the cost by $50. I know having 2 dimmable is the best option, but since I'm a student and trying to keep things as cheap as possible, is it really necessary?
  15. Retrofitting a BC 14 with LEDs

Thanks Adam! From what I've read it seems like I should not use the optics. Do you agree?
