  1. Clownfish - How many can I have

How can I tell if the fish is a male or female?? If the only way is by size than how can I figure it out when I only have one?
  2. Hey, I bought a Tomato Clownfish 1 month ago. I feel bad that he is by himself and I want to purchase another one. Can I and if yes does it have to be a Tomato?? Thanks. ROb
  3. Hi everyone, I have a stock 29G Biocube. Can I put this in there?? I want to host it with my Tomato Clown.
  4. quick bulkhead question.

Hey, When I ordered my bulhead and right elbow I went to the LFS. That is the only thing I didn't order from the internet b/c I knew I needed to try all the parts before purchasing.
  5. Basic question - which heater is everyone using for there Biocubes and what chamber are you putting it in?
  6. Hey BR1910 Can you post some pictures on how it looks and please give some more info on the installation of the pump.. How did you go from the 1st chamber to the second and why?
  7. Hi Everyone, After reading many threads about the Biocube I need to know what everyone is doing with the waterflow. Examples: 1. Upgrading pump to the MJ900 or MJ 1200 2. Adding the Hydroflo 3. Adding a second pump inside the tank 4. and I think some are adding a second pump inside chamber one. 1, 2, & 3 are self explanatory but 4 is not. I saw this link and it looks like the second pump in the 1st chamber is stock. This is a NanoCube which is different than the Biocube but is anyone doing something like this to there Biocube? http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthre...threadid=774417 I have a few questions regarding this a. The grate in the bottom of chamber 1 is permenant. Are you resting the pump ontop of the grate? b. If the pump is in the 1st chamber than aren't you pumping water back into the tank before it goes through the filtration system? c. Are you drilling a hole between the tank and chamber 1 for outflow of water? d. Is the temp. increasing? I'm sorry if these are stupid questions but Tuesday is the day I add everything to my first tank and I want to make sure its done right the first time.
  8. Oceanic BioCube 29 G - Poor Design

I'm new to this game so you need to help me out here.. What do I do with the Seagel? It looks like I would need to get a universal filter with changable pads... Am I on the right path? And why did you upgrade the pump and what pump is it? I was just thinking about adding the Maxi900 with the hydroflo to the tank. Any suggestions would help. I even saw someone put the pump in the chambers so you couldn't see. He drilled a hole between the tank and the chamber for the outage. Sorry about the lingo.... newbie
  9. Oceanic BioCube 29 G - Poor Design

Ok - I just called Oceanic at 800-255-4527 and they mentioned that this is how the tank was setup. The Technician said the tank has to be perfectly level and that the water line should come up to the chambers. He also mentioned to keep adding water into the tank not the chambers and you will eventually be at the level you need to be. I'm not sure if this is right - Is the level suppose to be that high in comparisson to the skimmer? The skimmer is 1 3/4 inches in height. The water passes through it with only an 1/8th of an opening at the top. Once again this is my first tank so bare with me. Please note that the distance between the minimum line and the maximum line is 2 inches. With the water level being this high the level in the chamber is 1/4 inch above minimum.
  10. Biocube 29g Moonlights

The connectors were really bad on mine as well. I just cleaned the contacts - I think they put some type of grease in it so rust doesn't occur.
  11. Oceanic BioCube 29 G - Poor Design

Hey Guys - I have the same problem. I actually started a thread on this at reefcentral about 2 weeks ago. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthre...threadid=925089 Anyway I agree, I shouldn't have to do any mods to this tank. Please let me know if there is anyway solution to this, and your right oceanic customer service is HORRIBLE. I'm not sure if I should start a new thread regarding this but did anyone install a 2nd pump into there 29g BioCube kinda like the Maxijet 900? I am thinking about adding a pump and placing it into one of the chambers so you cant see it. Thanks, Rob Newbie - 29g BioCube
