I'm working on building a fuge for this tank. The problem was the size of the stand.. thought I could fit a 10gal down there but it didn't work. :(

anyone have any suggestions?

I was thinking about that but I have enough crap hanging on the back. I'm trying to design a tall sump so that way I could fit it in my cabinet and still get the volume I'm looking for.

Thanks Karen and proraptor!

Baby it's a 37gal via aqua tank...

Epic, don't really have any problems with stinging, I keep those corals that sting in their secluded areas so that way they don't mess with eachother.

Fox coral is reaalllllly sweet baby, I've only had it for a couple months but it seems to be doing great and when it opens up like that it is sooooo beautiful. I would have to say one of my best pieces of LPS for sure!

you know it just might! I have to check it out. I was curious as to whether it would be enough though to hold the volume of water... 40gals

Take a look at the HOB fuge i made for my 28 bow it is aprox 6.6 gallons and has aprox 90gph running through it (slower the better the longer the water stays in with the chaeto the more nutrient export you will have also slow in my case the UV sterilizer. the fuge i made sits on a shelf because of the weight and it also only comes down about half of the heighth of the tank so if you made one that was a little bit taller than your main display and the same width you should be able to make at least a 10+ gallon fuge which would be awesome i would try to go for a fuge 12-15 gallon with your tank sorry i rambled on

as much as I want to make one I'm just kind of hesitant about a HOB because I wanted to hide my equipment.

it is possible i have my heater in my fuge one powerhead in the tank pumping to the fuge and one just for circulation so two ph's in tank thats it. the fuge it self can be hidden by a canopy and an addition to your stand that is behind the tank itself to hide all wires and go all the way to the wall also connecting to the canopy. i like to watch my fuge as much as my main tank so i see no need to hide it.
