Atomik Posted June 4, 2005 Hi, I think you'll need much more live rock than what you have. Live rock does majority of filtration by housing multiple bacterias/microorganisms/etc. A good rule of thumb (because it depends on live rock porosity) is to have between 1 and 2 lbs by gallons. I don't know how old is this tank, by there seem to be many "advanced" corals in there. Did you do your homework with this? Did you read about those corals requirements? For example, the yellow sps (acropora?) in the middle need lot of light (MH for example)... And there seem to be a sun coral (tubastrea)on the left (sorry if I'm wrong), do you know that it is to be fed manually about once every 2 days? Keys to success in this hobby are: - Patience - Read, read and when you think you know everything about life and the rest, read again The best place to learn is on the internet. Read forums (here, reef central, etc...), check dedicated web sites (live aquaria, though a shop, provide very nice info on multiple corals and fish species; wet web media; etc...) I hope I have helped you, good luck! Quote Link to comment

Pili4444 Posted June 4, 2005 Don't worry. He knows what hes doing:) All of that is from a well established (i think it was 3g) tank. I do think that you could use some more LR though. Just my opinion though because i like a more filled look. Quote Link to comment
