trumph Posted June 4, 2005 If you're talking about the 13,500 gal tank in the background...it maxes out in the upper 80's. Solar heater adds about 10 degrees but can also cool by running it at night. My 24 gal tank is fine. Quote Link to comment
baris90 Posted July 4, 2005 Hi, Would you care to tell me the types of fans that you use for your tank. I have overheating problems and want to install a couple of fans. I liked the way you set them up under the feeding cover. Does the water splashing from the tank create a problem? Thanks Quote Link to comment
trumph Posted August 5, 2005 Haven't been around for a while so I'm sorry for the late response to you r question. The positon of the fans in the picture are not where they got installed. I installed two thermostatically controlled 80mm fans in the top of my hood under the vents. I increased the size of the vents to almost the same size of the fans by using two hacksaw blades held together side by side. The two blades are real close to the size of the existing openings. Those fans cool my tank down so much that I don't run the 40mm fans that I replaced the stock fans with even with the 70w MH running 4-6 hrs/day. Quote Link to comment
