Something is wrong with my CORAL!!

usually leather corals slough off the top portion of their epidermis. perhaps this is what your coral is doing. make sure you have decent flow over the coral to help speed up the process.

What do you mean by slough off, like the top layer of skin is going to peel off. I think i have enough flow.

And if it does peel will it rot and increase amonia and nitrite level.

I have two of these in my 45 gallon and i was lead to believe that they shed regularly once a week or when ever they need to. Its just like a thin layer of slime that slowly comes off, like yoshiod said, increase ur flow to help the process.
