I've had 3. All died within a week. Starved to death. I've been told that they need at least a 40G established tank for them to survive. Not trying to down your choice of fish cause I like them too. Beautiful fish.. John

All 3 of mine wouldn't eat anything from entrance to the tank. tried frozen brine, live brine, blood worms, krill, flake, nothing at all. If it's eating brine, good for you . You've made a great accomplishment. LOL they are very nice fish

okay you know when you feed yours, does he go to the food straight away or wait and then go around n pick the food up? Mine goes around collecting the brine shrimp, at first i thought he wasnt eating them.

Ask your LFS to see them eat. One of my LFS's gets almost EVERY species eating prepared foods.

brine shrimp is the snack food of the fish world, your mandarin will slowly die on a diet like that. try to get him to eat vitamin enriched mysis at least?

hes fine, believe me. Theres plenty of pods n brine, and if he begins to look skinny then i have a 45 gallon tank full of rockwork, full of pods.
