ghostbear29 Posted January 15, 2005 Your name is Thai and you live in Bangkok? Ironic! J/K I like the setup. What was the motivation behind the clay pot? (hiding place?) Or is it just a aesthetic appeal thingy? Good luck. Quote Link to comment
Mr.Freeze Posted January 20, 2005 My name is Jeadsada, I'm living in Bangkok, Thailand. The reasons i put the pottery (w/o laquering) into my aquarium are 1. Hiding place or host of some fish. 2. In my idea, i can use it instead of LRs beacuse of the pottery made from the burnt soil.I also put sand into the pottery, in my idea the sand in the deepest layer in the pottery can be the living place for bateria which living inside the LRs. 3. Aesthetic appeal also, it look like natural treasure. 4. From my experiment by putting 2 tanks in my bathroom, i put the pottery into the first tank and put nothing in the another. What i've found was the temp. of the tank with pottery was lower than the tank w/o pottery ~1-2 C. Quote Link to comment
