final scape

these are the rocks after I treated them with muriatic acid. may have used a little too much and a little too long but I think it is alright. I rinsed them off really well and let them sit in water and re-rinse and sit again. The did look a little greener than before they went in the acid. some fuzzy alge. Should I dip again or just let it me. I mean before I dipped them they were not green at all so I'm not sure where all the green came from.

I've seen this effect a few times... Both with muriatic acid and vinegar. In my own experience yesterday I soaked my rocks in 100% vinegar for about 10 minutes and noticed that it turned the rock green in a few spots. Like you I'm not exactly sure why, though I'm not particularly concerned because eventually the rock will color up anyways. Nice scape also, I really like the balanced feel. And while it's balanced, it's not symmetrical and there are plenty of interesting things to look at.
