You can see the ghetto dremel-drilled overflow screen a bit better in this one, as well as showcasing the silicone explosion party that happened while attaching the dividers.... I'm thinking paint around this part might be a good way to go.

3M blue tape is what you want.

 

The thick width kind. Pull it off when the silicone is still wet.

Get some nitrile gloves, apply fillet with finger.

 

Remove and replace gloves as needed.

That is genius farkwar, thanks! If I silicone a more visible portion I'm DEFINITELY doing that next time.

To make matters even faster, just wipe the silicone off with a wet paper towel when it's still wet.

Or just do the old plumbers trick and spit on your finger before using it to spread/smoothe the silicon ;). Masking take really helps with keeping the seams tidy.
