I hate that cable as well. I wish I can hide it. My light hangs from ceiling and there is no outlet up there. The cable was black, I even painted it white already.

I know how you can hide the wire but it will take some drilling, and spackling and then painting the wall.

your set up is very clean that wire would really bother me

An easier way would be to just buy a cable cover from a hardware store... like Lowes or Home Depot... they are usually white and mount straight to the wall... you can then paint it the same color as the wall. Much cleaner look and you don't have make any holes in the wall.

Beautiful tank... the wire is a distraction but only for a second.
