I use a Cannon 50D with a reverse ring setup on an old Tamron telephoto 35mm. And a tripod.

Cool. It means the ricordea is very close to the glass, isn't it? I have almost the same setup: Nikon D5100, reverse lens ring, 35mm F1.8 lens and tripod. I also have kit zoom lens but the prime is my favorite.

Yes, it's about 3" from the glass. Anything further back i have to crop down. Looking forward to upgrading soon.
