is that cyano algea? haha

This is how it looked after 5 weeks of cycling with coctail shrimp. It all eventually cleared up slowly by doing small weekly 10% water changes. I think it got to this extreme because I didn't take the shrimp out after a week, (all that bacteria and algae had plenty to feed on) I couldn't... The shrimp got sucked in and out the power head it had disappeared into really small pieces. I was able to remove it once I decided to as it all seemed to collect in the last chamber the return pump was in. Next time I'm tying it down.
