If you have lights(which I assume you do) place it under an overhang or it won't be happy at all.

i was getting mixed reviews on that some say it doesnt matter some people say it out even with the light on(with some training) and some say the same as you

i was not sure which to go by so i went where i would like. the second night i had it it came out like the pic. ill see how it does here if it doesnt like it ill find a better spot for it

nope, they do not do well directly under lights. In the wild they live in caves and deep under underhangs. They must be fed daily, some say up to 3 cubes of mysis with as little as 12 heads
