Thanks! I guess I lucked out catching it before it got big. I've read they are both good and possible bad for a reef tank.
id keep it in.

Doesn't really matter. If you were able to see/pull out one, there are likely a bunch more in your tank
where gloves when handling!
Don't worry about bristle worms. You'd never be able to irradicate them even if they were a problem. Which they are not.
I think I might have the exact same type of bristleworm in my aquarium. Keep the little buggers. Mine have been co-existing peacefully with all my corals, snails and the hermit crab.
Thanks everyone for the post's! I put it back in last night. I thought one of my fish would have tried to eat it but they didn't bother it.

Wrasses will eff them up. We throw big bristle worms from work in the 1200 and let the giant corris wrasses tear them up. The wrasses have "whiskers" for a short time after. They are usually pretty good about getting the barbs out.

I keep babys but over 2" flush! I have a 29 so I think 2" is a big worm!
