I'm not exactly sure on a scientific name. John Maloney at reefcleaners sent them to me. He finds them in batches of dwarf ceriths that he collects off the coast of Florida. They get no bigger than about 1/2".

Oh excellent ... then that is why I have these tiny hermits with ceriths I ordered from him. I assumed they were just babies.

Are those normally white? I just got a random hermit from John that I can't identify.

Mine are all that red striped color. There was a baby one that was white, but it didn't make it.

Great shot btw. I really hope mine survives, he's so tiny and cute. John's the best.
