I picked up a Springer's damsel. He's a real little guy. I was intrigued by the the reports that they eat flatworms. I'm not going to hold my breath though.

Did you get it off of live aquaria? I've been thinking about getting one but was concerned with its temperment since it's a damsel. How is it acting?

I got him from my LFS. I have heard they are less aggressive than some of the other damsels. I have not noticed any aggressive behavior since I put him in the tank on Sunday, but he is significantly smaller than my clown fish. So he would have to be an idiot to try and bully the clown. I would maybe be more concerned with a smaller tank, or with timid smaller fish. What other livestock do you have?

flatworms, you say? hmmmmm....i would get one, if it was peaceful, just to see if it would eat my planaria.

do you have flatworms?

I do have flatworms. Their population has never been explosive, but it keeps me from fragging my corals. I don't want to contaminate anyone's tank.

Their problem is mainly an aesthetic issue in my tank so I am trying to stay away from flatworm exit. I'll let you know if the Springer eats any of the flatworms.

Bonus picture I took of them.

Cool beans. I have a 40 gallon with a 20 sump. For fish I have a royal gramma, pajama cardinal, and barnicle blenny. My concern would be his relation with the cardinal and maybe my cleaner shrimp. I had to ditch my clowns when they started picking on my shrimp and I don't want to have to go through that again.
