esqharvard Posted January 5, 2004 Your tank is very nice! What is the coral object in the upper center part of the tank (it seems to have a bubble-like tentacle)? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Acoustic Posted January 5, 2004 That is red grape caluerpa. I was trying to grow it but my turbo snail ate it all yesterday. DOH! Now he can focus on the green stuff I guess. Quote Link to comment
NewbieReefer Posted March 8, 2004 What kind of substrate is that? Can you still had starfish and some sand shifters using that. I really like the black. Awesome tank. Quote Link to comment
Acoustic Posted March 9, 2004 I would not recommend a starfish in a nano just becuase of how tempermental to changes in water chemistry. But I do have sand sifters in my tank. They substrate is "Natural Wonders" black calcite sand. Quote Link to comment
Friskaburger Posted June 6, 2004 Does that calcite sand do a good job of becoming live sand at all? cuz it looks so stunning! Quote Link to comment
DC_tang Posted August 17, 2004 This tank is amazing!! This is the kind of tank I wish mine will turn out to be like. Quote Link to comment

eb0 Posted November 24, 2005 Starfish are not that hard to keep in a reef tank. I've had mine for about 4 months now and is doing splendid. The black substrate is calcite and yes it can be used with sand sifters and snails etc. Quote Link to comment

halfpint Posted April 14, 2006 WOW. Now that's got to be the cleanest reef I've ever seen. I love the black Substrate. Gives the tank great contrast. Is that a red brain? If so, It's stunning! Quote Link to comment
