How long did you have the wrasse? I hear they are hard to maintain since they mostly eat parasites.

Starving nearly to death and being finished off by invertebrate predator, very elegant.

Had this one for 3 days. I had another one a few weeks ago that lasted 2 days. I don't know what happened to the other one. I guess I'm not going to be able to keep a cleaner in this tank.

Sorry about the loss. I was not trying to be an ass or anything. I have one and it is still going well. I was just curious to see if you had kept it fed for any length of time.

The short time I had it, it seemed that it was not interested in anything I fed the other fish, including frozen clams and live brine shrimp. I imagine it would be a difficult fish to keep, but I hot him for the Tangs, as Tangs are prone to skin conditions.

Yeah. It seems like hit or miss. Sort of like a Mandarin. Mine seem to at least suck in the frozen and spit it out. Still going strong....so maybe I got lucky.

these guys rarely do well long term. Best to use a cleaner shrimp as they'll readily go after frozen or even pellet foods.
