don't let it get you down. I'm going through a second hair algae outbreak after having to tear apart all of my live rock and coral to rid my tank of 2 damsels. When I ripped everything out, nutrients were released into the water column, and a hell has brocken loose.

Try inserting a phosphate removal pack into your filtratrion system, or adding more of a clean-up crew. I had the same problem for an on-going period of time (with my 75) and I used green-x in my fluval and after a week it was all clean.

Thanks for the replies... Fortunately, this is just an old pic that showed what my tank went through in it's early days. :) I didn't rush it a bit and just let it run its course. The 'algae phase' was actually kind of fun to watch and I had a number of different hair and macro algaes come and go over the course of 2 months. -- The tank is happily algae free today (living somewhere in the Pacific Northwest it has produced several new children and is currently working as a part-time hypnotist.)
