sstuckey Posted February 17, 2011 The colors in this shot are insane! Nice pic. How long have you had that little guy? His claws seem so small and less damaging looking than mine. Or maybe it's a male/female thing I don't know. Quote Link to comment
el fabuloso Posted February 17, 2011 This was shot with a Casio Exilim EX-Z750 and a magnifying glass. Nothing fancy. He lived in my 3g pico for over two years until he got moved to the Red Sea Max. I haven't seen him ever since. And yes, he was the devil. During feeding time he would come out trampling everything like a rhino and knocking corals out of the way. He would then proceed to steal food from the corals and the shrimps. I then got the idea of feeding him first to satisfy his greed but when I would feed him with the tongs, he would grab hold of it and not let go so we'd end up playing this game of tug-of-war with him usually holding on to a coral frag with the other claw so I couldn't exactly use a lot of force. One day I was so mad I decided to yank him out of the tank and he ended up flying across the room and he started running away. I chased him down and it took five minutes for me to pick him up because he wouldn't let go of the carpet. On several occasions I've banished him to the fuge only to find him in the display tank the next day sitting on a rock with a grin on his face. I never figured out how he made it out of the fuge to the display tank but there he was. DEVIL. Quote Link to comment
gosink1000 Posted February 18, 2011 That was a well told and gripping tale. My emerald never comes out or behaves like that. I wish he'd show a little more personality but then again he ain't no DEVIL. counting my blessings. Quote Link to comment
Deleted User 6 Posted February 19, 2011 my last emerald had a taste for pink birdsnest. he would snap off a piece, much away, and then snap off more like it was a candycane or something. he went to the fuge, and was found KIA a few months later. poor bastard. Quote Link to comment
