Stereographic (3D) Clam

If you want to see my clam in "3D" you need to look at the line in the middle and sort of go cross-eyed until a new image appears in between the two. Then focus on that new image. Its like those old Magic Eye books from the 90's

Here is a how to view guide

Well the problem is that it does not have enough depth to really make the effect apparent. I have no problem with the technique and I can see your image but it looks rather flat because of lack of depth. Of course that will always be a problem with aquarium especialy nano.

Got it to work!!!! I just had to put my face inches away from the monitor so that only the picture was in my line of sight.

"Human eyes, being separated approximately 2.5 inches, provide two different views of a real object or scene. Our brains fuse these views into one. While doing so, it uses the slight differences in images from the left and right eyes to provide a depth cue."

In my picture you are trying to recreate what your brain would do automatically if you were looking at the actual object in real life.

I think I know what the problem is, the out of focus distract from the depth. If you could take the pic at a higher aperture with everything in focus the depth would be more obvious. Nicely done anyway. I have no trouble with the larger version but it is harder to twitch the eye on that one.
