lawnmowerblenny Posted January 6, 2011 hahaha yeah they are not reef safe You'll find it funny when they dig there claws deep into your polyps mouths, attack your hairy mushrooms and almost kill them, lastly they will harass and steal food from your nems(found him digging in my bta and I killed him! also killed my first clown! hahaha dont believe everything you read because people will point you in the wrong direction... they are good detritus/algae eaters but also vicious carnivores! live and learn... good luck, just keep an eye on the lil bastrd Quote Link to comment
Formula462 Posted January 6, 2011 yeah i used to work at a nicer fish store, and we strongly discouraged people from adding slf crabs to a stocked reef. the gutting and stealing food from softies is the big concern. and knocking down big rocks onto things. Quote Link to comment
burtbollinger Posted January 6, 2011 these are not reef safe....I speak from experience...I have personally witnessed a SLF hunt kill and eat a 6 line wrasse, a 4 line wrasse and a bicolor blenny. Quote Link to comment
jfarabaugh Posted January 6, 2011 I had one and he got big fast! Never touched any corals...but he did get into it a few times with my lawnmower blenny. When it comes to A$$hole crabs they take the cake. Quote Link to comment
GrandpaFeathers Posted January 6, 2011 He's gonne live with my largest mantis I think. The shrimp is much smaller though. Quote Link to comment
