Vampire sargassum angler waiting for dusk.

This fits the bill. A locally caught favorite of mine. I found this guy rolling around a big ball of sargassum while on a surf. He's been in my tank munching on pods for about 4 months now and has doubled in size since I introduced him. I woould call him tottally reef safe since he won't much on tiny shrimps or fish. I only see him take pods like a sniper.

TY! He's become a huge part of my tank that I think I will pass down all my reef fish to my daughters 30g cube and do a small predatory reef. I'm on the look out for nicely colored dwarf lions to house in the same tank with him.

I think the oil spill had some kind of effect on these things since I used to find them all the time and have not been able to find one lately for a fellow nano-reefer who has been begging me to find him one. I hope this is not the case but I see less and less things that I usually find in abundant washing around in the waves here. I hope BP pays for what they did to our watersbut at least this guy gets his sqare meals and he gets to chill in my large acro colony where he feels well hidden.

Sorry, too many people want them shipped and I just don't have the time or rescources to do that. I did have a classified for them but no one responded to that. If I do find a few more though I might consider trying again.
