MID CYCLE

 

Setup:

 

Modified hood light: coralife 50/50 10 watt bulb

2 Ott-Lite desk lamps with 13 watt actinic in each

2 Marina led moon lights

10lbs. live sand

10lbs. live rock

and one fake piece of grass

u should add m16 leds (6500k) to brighten it up , enless u like the 20000k blue look :]

i actually had 3 10W 50/50’s on it but went for the actinics for a darker look

yea. that was my main question. i fixed the light situation, and im about to get one of those small nano power heads. i was thinking about getting a smaller canister filter, and that way i would be able to stick a small skimmer in there too. as of right now theres really no room for anything else under the hood. any suggestions?

I bought an Eheim Liberty 100 filter to "touch up" my nanocube from time to time. The filter media chamber is customizable which is pretty cool. I don't keep it in there all the time; I just let it run for an hour or two every now and then. Azoo palm filters are pretty small too. I don't know about a dedicated filter for this tank configuration though.
