^Could not agree more. Very beautiful, but way too crowded with fish and coral.

No coralline and the sand if still perfectly white? Looks like you just bought everything recently and dumped it in. Yet another irresponsible reefer! Horrible fish selection also...

Hopefully those acans never get a bug up there ass!!! That ricordia is dangerously close the acan. Looks pretty, but looks can be deceiving. Also, the fish list not the best. Hope your system is at least 6 months old and you have been adding tigger pods everyday, otherwise kiss that mandarin good bye. Sorry for all the negativity, but had you done some research, you would have known what we would be saying.

@ fiction.... or he / she vacuums his / her sandbed on a regular basis. along with occasionally soaking the powerheads in vinegar for a while. my tank is ~1 year old and my sand is still white and my mp10 looks brand new because I clean both regularly.

whatever this person is doing, it's working.

It looks great. i must agree it is alittle crowded but i guess if works don't change it.

i like it better than fiction101's tank. maybe space them out a little more, as for fiction101 stfu.

I thought catalinas were cold water? I dig the colors and the placement but I do wonder how things are going to interact with some good growth. Time will tell.

I have to agree, the fish selection is a little off. Gold Stripe, as in a Maroon Clown? None of the gobies you have mentioned are good candidates for a Nano, either do to feeding habits or temperature preference. Mystery wrasse are cool, but they don't mesh well at all with a 6 line and a fire fish.

Just a few quick removals and your tank will be just fine. I'd choose between the more aggressive fish or the docile fish, and phase out the gobies (unless you're feeding the Mandarin properly, which is rather difficult to do. It does look healthy still, but whether or not that lasts is up to you.)

Fish aside, awesome tank.

(snails, crabs etc)( a tooth brush will do fine:)i just want to share to you/all my fellow reefers that its not about how crowded or not compatible sets of fishes you have, if you know what you are doing everything will be fine:)if someone here lives in LA youre welcome to see my tank:)

1.water change once a month 8gal/clean the filter sock

2.feed my fishes mon, wed, fri, spectrum pellets (sunday frozen shrimp)

3.feed my corals (including duncans, balanophyllias and reverse dendro)wed half cup marine snow sunday full cup of marine snow

4.dosing every wednesday full cup of liquid reef and iodine (water change once a month a cup full of all the chem supplements)

5.temp 78

6.testing parameters........ NEVERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! ITS A HEADACHE!!!!!!

7.clean the glass everytime with nano mag

8.plan ahead of time( like problem possibilities)

10. dont be afraid to ask for help even if they treat you like an idiot( my fellow reefers you know who you are:)

11. stare at your tank and enjoy it

12.love your tank

13. AND MOST OF ALL DONT BE A JERK!!!! BUT BE HUMBLE AND HELPFUL

"i just want to share to you/all my fellow reefers that its not about how crowded or not compatible sets of fishes you have." I strongly disagree with that statement because it is possible to choose fish that do not fair well in the same space. Surely you can't deny that overstocking causes stress and has a negative effect on the health of fish. Not everyone knows what they are doing when they choose fish. New reefers should make a plan and do research before purchasing any livestock. If you have done that, then more power to you.

why are people rippin this guy up? he posted a pic to show off his set up and hard work not to get criticized by a bunch of dudes with no girlfriends that sit in front of the computer in your dark room at your mom's house all day waiting to pounce on someone and/or make stupid comments. This forum is like high school and I know you guys weren't getting laid in high school either so now you take out your frustrations on someone you will never come into contact with, but feel badass posting BS that you would never say that to the person in real life! Until something bad happens, don't fix what isn't broken...

p.s. nice acans. I'm goin for the acan garden as well in my tank.

Yooo nice reef setup as I did add this to my favorites, I am a really picky reefer since I've checked out 500 reef tank pics here and have only added 3 of them to my favorites, please check out my reef gallery as well. You've got nice proportional corals in your tank, though I think your duncans are a bit too big compared to your other corals, and based on my taste/opinion, I'd cut it half and place the other half somewhere else, though thats just me, and yet I still love your reef setup, great job.

Oh and I'd probably cut half that xenia/chalice on the top left/right and place that other half some where else based on my taste. Otherwise, really really great setup u got there, I'd like to see your tank in person as well. How long did this setup take to finish well like this?
