jthyge Posted January 31, 2010 Do you by wavy, means long tentacles? I just bought it, and it had long tentacles. But the guy I bought it from, also had a colony of the same polyp in the main aquarium, where one of the fish sometimes nipped at the tentacles. That colony retracted the tentacles, so they were about 1/3 the length. So maybe a very friendly environment will do it? Quote Link to comment
Nemo Niblets Posted January 31, 2010 Pet peeve: Not zoanthus, zoanthids. They look great! Quote Link to comment
Bigben7 Posted January 31, 2010 Nemo, Zoanthus is actually the Latin genus name for number of different species of corals, all of which are commonly known as zoanthids. Honestly, Zoanthus species is more appropriate than zoanthid, though it is fine also. As far as the tentacles go, I have some that have different tentacle length depending on flow, with higher flow causing longer tentacle length. Quote Link to comment
octoman Posted January 31, 2010 I have the same ones. I believe they are a morph of AOGs. Quote Link to comment
