I see the acro in the middle of a monti cap thing alot... how did you get that to work? Did you glue several monti frags around the acro, or what?

No, the acro is really at the side, not middle. The monti cap started as a 1.5" frag and just grew. Here's a close-up:

Thanks. Here's the acan colony. The big colony started with about 5 heads and just grew really fast.

It's a Giessmann Coral 250W DE. It's a bit whiter than the Phoenix 14K. I might switch back to the Phoenix or try the Aquamaxx after about 6 months.

The uploaded pic lost a bit of color. Here's the original pic which looks better:

Ahh! So jealous! Maybe when I win the lottery, I'll get a tank like yours, but then have you come over and set it up for me!

I love the valley down the middle, what kind of fish you got in there? I'd love to see 'em going down the middle.

This is one of the best I've seen. Reef of the month?

Thanks! For the fishes, I have a false clown, six line, yellow watchman, firefish, and a royal gramma.

I try to get the littlest piece of frag I can get and just grow it so I won't spend too much. The sunset montipora for example was about 1/4-inch when I first got it from a local reefer. Plus it's part of the fun growing them. If they don't make it, then it's not too hard on the pocket. ;)
