My first reef ever. I want to redo the rock work but don't have much to work with. Might buy some smaller piece and redo it, then sell my current big rocks. I do have a Yasha Goby pair with a candy pistol Shrimp. Please give me some opinion on how to better my rock work.

I think the top rock neds to be lower, so you can put some corals up there.

If you get new rock, make sure it is dry, or fully cured. If it isn't cured, it could recycle your tank.

Thanks guys. But I just think my rocks are too big for my tank, so I will need some smaller flatter rocks to work with. I was thinking of a entire back rock wall or like a mountain style in the middle and both sides coming down like a CLAW style.

I would suggest breaking the rocks if they are too big. Just be careful as LR is brittle. Best way to break them is to cover in a towel and hit with a hammer, be sure to wear eye protection.

Tank looks great!!!

I have in first chamber heater and filter media, second chamber I got Chaeto with two 5W bulbs and Chemi-pure. 3rd chamber is the sponge, protein skimmer and the original pump.

Shoul I really just break my rocks down to smaller pieces and play with them? Will smashing them with hammer affect anything, will it go through another cycle?
