Thanks. You and me both. I finally beat a bryopsis outbreak so I don't have a reason to stick my hand in the tank. The corals are budding out very fast in the last couple of weeks.

Insane rockwork! What's the lighting? Do you worry as the acros encrust their bases that there will be competition? There looks to be limited space for encrusting but plenty for branch growth.

varabus37, the lighting is a 6 bulb ati powermodule T5 fixture. There is limited space branching and encrusting with so many SPS in a nano. I am always watching them as they grow close. For the most part I plan on letting them fight unless the loser starts to recede badly.

Makes sense. Do you plan to prune and keep lots of mini-colonies or are you going to eventually whittle down to just a few large colonies? Great color and the growth makes sense now that you said you're rocking that 6-bulb setup.

Varanus, if everything continues growing well and all these corals become large colonies I will eventually have to choose which to keep and which to get rid of (I'm not much of a fragger to keep mini-colonies) Naturally I will keep my nicer colonies but I would also try to keep corals with contrasting colors.....i.e. you can appreciate a blue coral much more when it is surrounded by yellow, pink, and green acros.

I keep coming back to look at this. Do you only have two rocks in there?

It's actually a bunch of rocks that I stacked. Using the branch I am able to make cool formations. The structure is very stable also.

Very unique tank, can't say I've seen one quite like it! Just wondering what bulb combo you are using in the 6 bulb ATI. I'm getting a 6 bulb TEK, and I really like the way your colors pop.

nemoniblets, the rocks touch the back wall but only at the bottom of the structure at a few points.

thatoneazn, no cal reactor. I manually dose b-ionic cal, alk, and MG daily.

i love this tank. Very psychadelic. How does it stay up? Is it glued or tied together or what?
