It's kinda cool. Looks like the top half of a champagne bottle. Looking at it from the front looks like he has it chillin' in the tank.

im trying to like this. but, i dunno. the shape of it...it's weird and doesn't go. unless it matches your furniture, in which case +1 on the yeesh

Awesome, there's nothing wrong with artistic expression but you should close up that gap of light at the neck.

im an artist as well... but it doesnt feel right.... perhaps if the actual pendant was left plain with maybe a lil embelishment around the lip

I'm all for artistic expression, but sadly the first drop of salt water and creep that gets on that aluminum foil and you'll have big time corrosion. It will be very fleeting art and your tank will suffer from aluminum poisoning.

its not foil it is 5052 sheet aluminum, with a completely sealed lexan lid, the factory pendants are also alum. i guess the engineers from current and all other big lights co. forgot that these lights were around saltwater.

i think its awsome. not many people can say they made something that works nice and looks great.Something you can't buy in a store like most of people do
