I just got back from a fishing trip in Canada. I spend so much time looking at saltwater fish I had forgotten how amazing some of the local fish can be.

 

Thats a picture of me and my norther pike. I let it go after the picture was taken.

nice pike man! you ever been muskie fishing? I went muskie fishing once in the upper Niagra river - caught 2 muskie one was 46'' and 32lbs. I love fishing...

It was a total surprise when I caught it. I was actually fishing for walleye. I only had a single hook jig on with no leader. Plus I was only using 6lb test. It is a miracle that I was able to land it.
