juniormmm Posted September 29, 2009 Well I've been told that they won't do well in my 29g so I was planning on waiting until I get my 75g. Quote Link to comment
circusordie16 Posted September 30, 2009 im pretty sure you should have sand instead of that big gravel in there for him as they sift sand for food. Quote Link to comment
majtek862 Posted September 30, 2009 You are right about them sifting. It seems to be constantly doing that even with the bigger gravel. So far so good, it seems to be eating fine... Quote Link to comment
juniormmm Posted September 30, 2009 What does it eat? Many say it's just as hard if not harder to get them to eat frozen food than a mandarin. Weird though because every time I see one I always ask to see it eat and they usually seem to eat frozen just fine. *Edit* When I ask "what does it eat" I meant more specifically what do you feed yours. majtek862 Posted September 30, 2009 I've seen it pick up some mysis shrimp, flakes or pellet food when I feed my clowns. I'm not sure what else but it's often seen picking up a mouth full of the gravel and sifting whatever it's finding in there. Quote Link to comment
juniormmm Posted September 30, 2009 So do you have one of these and a YWG in the same tank? If so, how do they get along? Is your tank the BC29? Quote Link to comment
majtek862 Posted September 30, 2009 Yes I do and they don't pay any attention to each other at all. And yes, BC29... Quote Link to comment
havoc519 Posted December 7, 2009 i had one for a week and had to pass it on to another tank do to my 6line agression toward it . but while o had it he was sifting the sand like a mad"fish" i would suggest if you are keeping him add some fine sand on top of your gravel . Quote Link to comment
majtek862 Posted December 8, 2009 Thanks for the suggestion but I had to file a missing fish report on this one. Still have no idea were or what happened. No body and no evidence of foul play. It's a cold case... Quote Link to comment
