addicted2reefin Posted August 26, 2009 canisters dont work too well with overflow boxes, they would pull air, unless u had a ball valve to cut down the drain, if u realy have to, buy a canister with ball valves on the in and out, or install them urself, so u dont flood ur floors. ReefYourself Posted August 27, 2009 you need to put a checkvalve on the way up to your tank. As for the canister filter, I would get a huge a%$ sump. Better to have a sump; would not trap as much detrious + more water volume = Quote Link to comment
