Scotty Speed Posted August 24, 2009 I'm new to these boards but old to reef keeping. This photo reminds me of a conversation I had with Julien Sprung concerning Dendronephthya species. My questions, when do you feed these? How often? Have you noticed any spicule loss due to tissue fissures at the base of the coral? Do these corals have any of the endemic brittle stars that are usually associated with them? Quote Link to comment
Natan Posted August 24, 2009 when do you feed these? How often? > during the day, once per day with Fauna Marine products. Have you noticed any spicule loss due to tissue fissures at the base of the coral? > no, I noticed that, some of soft corals has these 'brown something' at the base, not only NPS corals, but I never notice anything bad aboute that. Do these corals have any of the endemic brittle stars that are usually associated with them? > The biggest, the one in the middle, has one endemic brittle star, its barely noticable coz its in coral colour.
