holy cow, how hard is it to keep this tank up?

how often do you change water and what do you dose with??

i always heard it was hard to keep such small tanks with perfect water.

Thanks for all the comments. This tank has been surprisingly easy to maintain. Stability is key which requires weekly water changes and a good ATO. I had it running for a full year before doing the SPS conversion so it's a pretty mature tank. I just recently started a dosing regimen of C-Balance two part solution to keep calcium and alk levels in check which gets depleted fairly quickly in a tank this size.

You should post a full resolution shot of this bad boy ... give me some megapixels of Pico sexyness.

Awesome!! I am copying this in my office!!

How much water do you change on a daily basis? also what type of filtration is it running? media filter only? or plus carbon, etc. Just trying to get a feel for maintenance. Coming from a 120g i'm pretty nervous with such a small tank.

Thanks

TOTM!!!!!!!!!! The SPS color and growth are insane! Considering that there is more rock and coral then water in there. Maybe 2 gallons of water including the filter. Awesome tank!

model pico, any fish/shrimp? - if not, i think a frog fish would be an awesome/last addition. excellent work!

The monti has definitely grown a whole lot ever since the switch to LED. As for fish, I used to have a green clown goby but it jumped. Then I had a yellowtail damsel and it too jumped but I think the emerald crab may have spooked it. I'm fishless at the moment but I do plan on adding another fish, I'm just not sure what I should go with this time. wouldn't a frogfish be a little too big for a pico? Or is there some micro frogfish I don't know about?
